Konami and developer MYTHRIL have released a new story trailer and fresh details for Suikoden STAR LEAP, a newly announced free-to-play RPG for iOS and Android. The update unveils key elements of the story, characters in this mobile installment.

Suikoden STAR LEAP marks the first title in the franchise developed specifically for mobile devices. It features beautiful pixel art that modernizes the series’ traditional visuals, dynamic sound design, and a fresh cast of 108 stars to meet and befriend. The game begins a brand-new tale of 108 stars tied to the power of runes, continuing the legacy of the Suikoden series, which began in 1995 and includes 11 titles spanning main entries and spin-offs.

 

 

 

Story

 

เนื้อเรื่องของเกมตั้งอยู่ในปี Solar Year 453 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาก่อนเหตุการณ์ใน Suikoden I และหลัง Suikoden V โดยมี “รูนแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลง” ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งใน 27 รูนอันแท้จริงที่สามารถเดินทางข้ามเวลาได้ ทำให้ผู้เล่นสามารถสัมผัสเรื่องราวที่เป็นทั้งภาคก่อนและภาคต่อของซีรีส์ Suikoden ได้ในเกมเดียว

 

The game’s story is set in Solar Year 453, a period before the events of Suikoden I and after Suikoden V. It features the “Rune of Change,” one of the 27 True Runes with time-traveling capabilities, allowing players to experience both prequel and sequel narratives within the Suikoden series in a single game.

The “Rune of Change” is one of the 27 True Runes said to have created the world. The story begins in a village to the east of the Scarlet Moon Empire, located by a lakeside.

The hero, son of village chief Hou, returns from his first successful hunt. But on a night filled with celebration, a sudden assault changes the fate of the village in an instant.

 

ตัวเอกจะต้องออกเดินทางพร้อมกับ Hisui, Shirin และ Shapur เพื่อกอบกู้ความสงบสุขให้กลับคืนมา ในขณะที่ชะตากรรมใหญ่ค่อย ๆ ก่อตัวขึ้นจากการผจญภัยเล็ก ๆ

 

The hero embarks on a journey with Hisui, Shirin, and Shapur to restore peace. As destiny begins to unfold, a small journey evolves into a grand ambition—for the sake of someone precious.

Suikoden STAR LEAP is a mobile RPG , preserving the core elements of the Suikoden series, including six-character party battles, base-building mechanics, and the recruitment of 108 Stars of Destiny.

เกมนี้มีระบบการต่อสู้แบบเทิร์นเบสที่สามารถจัดทีมได้สูงสุด 6 ตัวละคร พร้อมระบบ “Unite Attack” ที่ให้ตัวละครบางคู่สามารถโจมตีร่วมกันได้ นอกจากนี้ยังมีระบบสงครามขนาดใหญ่ที่เน้นกลยุทธ์แบบ RTS และระบบการสร้างฐานทัพที่ผู้เล่นสามารถพัฒนาหมู่บ้านของตนเองได้ โดยการสรรหาตัวละครใหม่ๆ จะช่วยปลดล็อกสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ เช่น ร้านตีเหล็ก

 

The game features turn-based combat with parties of up to six characters, including “Unite Attacks” where specific character pairs perform combined moves. It also includes large-scale strategic war battles and a base-building system where players can develop their village. Recruiting new characters unlocks facilities like a blacksmith shop.

Players can recruit the main 108 characters through regular gameplay without relying on the gacha system.  However, characters from previous installments are available via special events or the gacha system, offering additional options for players interested in collecting special characters.

Character

Hou (voiced by Akio Otsuka) – Chief of the village and father of the Hero. He used to be a fiery fighter, but he brought the ruffians together and created a new village. Other than that, his past is shrouded in mystery, but he seems to have relations with many important people in various countries.

Shirin (ให้เสียงโดย Fairouz Ai) – เพื่อนสนิทตั้งแต่วัยเด็กของผู้กล้า บุคลิกสดใสและกระตือรือร้นของเธอเป็นภาพสะท้อนของพ่อที่เลี้ยงเธอมาคนเดียว แม้บางครั้งจะด่วนตัดสินใจและหลงทางได้ง่าย แต่เธอก็มีจิตสำนึกในความยุติธรรมที่แข็งแกร่ง

 

Shirin (voiced by Fairouz Ai) – The Hero’s childhood friend. Her high-spirited personality is a mirror to her father’s, who raised her on his own. She sometimes gets caught up in tunnel vision, but her sense of justice is strong.

Shapur (voiced by Takuya Sato) – The Hero’s teacher and butler of the Hou household. He used to be a general. He doesn’t seem to be the kind of person to settle as a butler of a household in a small village…

Orhan (voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue) – Hou’s childhood friend and co-founder of the village. Like his daughter Shirin, he’s sociable and runs a tavern that doubles as the local hub for gossip.

Farah (voiced by Miho Wataya) – Works at the trading post and is always cheerful. Though often mistaken for a child, rumors suggest she’s even stronger than Hou thanks to hauling heavy goods constantly.

Flanagan (voiced by Kengo Takanashi) – A powerful guard dispatched by Shapur. While seemingly reckless, his honesty and openness make him quickly accepted by the villagers.

Odessa (พากย์เสียงโดย Haruka Shiraishi) – ขุนนางจากจักรวรรดิ Scarlet Moon ที่ผู้กล้าพบระหว่างเดินทาง เธอมีจิตใจดีและยุติธรรม จึงลุกขึ้นต่อต้านจักรวรรดิและก่อตั้งกองทัพปลดแอก

Odessa (voiced by Haruka Shiraishi) – An aristocrat from the Scarlet Moon Empire whom the hero meets. With her kind heart and strong sense of justice, she rises against the Empire to form the Liberation Army.

Flik (พากย์เสียงโดย Yuichi Nakamura) – นักดาบพเนจรที่เจอกับกลุ่มของ Odessa ขณะถูกไล่ล่า แม้จะชอบอวดแต่ฝีมือดาบยอดเยี่ยม เขาเข้าร่วมกองทัพปลดแอกในเวลาต่อมา

Viktor (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi) – Meets Odessa on his travels and is inspired by her determination to join the fight. With a bold and carefree personality, he becomes a reliable warrior in the Liberation Army.
